Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville seeks an Echocardiography Tech to acquire echocardiographic data and perform imaging under physician supervision. The role includes morphologic imaging, assessment of myocardial function, and visualization of blood flow, with potential stress testing as directed.

You will communicate findings to the Healthcare Team, assist in training staff, and support adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program with licensure.
• Licensure as Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (LIC) is required.
• Experience in echocardiography and interpretation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acquire echocardiographic data with the patient at rest under physician supervision.
• Perform morphologic imaging and assess myocardial function, recording hemodynamic parameters and blood flow visualization.
• Communicate findings to the Healthcare Team including recognition of abnormal studies.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new staff.
