Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a skilled echocardiography specialist to perform echocardiograms and support multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, effective communication, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds ARDMS AE/PR or equivalent pediatric certification, a relevant echo program, and current BLS; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate from an associate degree echo program or accredited echo training preferred.
• ARDMS AE and/or PR required.
• Pediatric echo competency may substitute for ARDMS with pediatric cardiologist written statement.
• BLS current; ACLS preferred.

Your Job: In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients by performing echocardiograms.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred.
• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in adult echo (AE) and/or pediatric echo (PR) required.
• A written statement from a pediatric cardiologist stating that the applicant is skilled and competent in independently performing all scopes of pediatric echocardiography may be substituted for the ARDMS.
• Current Basic Life Support required; Advanced Cardio Life Support preferred.
