Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking an Echocardiographer PRN to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound in M mode, color Doppler and 2D imaging, following imaging protocols.

The ideal candidate will be ARDMS or CCI registered, possess an Associate degree or certificate, and maintain Basic Life Support within 30 days of start. This role supports physicians and ensures efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Certificate in Diagnostic Sonography or related field.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credentials.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.

Responsibilities

• Obtain diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images in M mode, color flow Doppler and 2D imaging per protocol.
• Assist physician with imaging and documentation; support patient flow and safety.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and professional rapport with staff and patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

This position is responsible for obtaining diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images in three modes. M mode, color flow Doppler and two-dimensional mode, and will follow the imaging protocol recommended by IACEL. This position requires the individual to be registered by the ARDMS or CCI or an equivalent registry. This position will assist the physician with obtaining images during Transesophogeal Echo’s. This position shows sound knowledge and proficiency in the use of diagnostic echocardiography techniques (both fixed and mobile) to assist in the diagnosis of patient disorders. Prioritizes and organizes patient flow to ensure best utilization of time. Is given general guidance and is expected to function with initiative and sound judgment to provide quality services. Demonstrate effective safety practices. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and Medical Staff. Demonstrate competence when performing other related or licensed functions.
