Job summary

The role requires ARDMS or CCI certification within 1 year of hire, BLS from AHA, and strong patient‑facing skills, with focus on accuracy, patient safety, and efficient exam performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Performs echocardiograms on adults in outpatient setting.

Qualifications

Education: GED or High School Diploma.

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

Skills/Experience:

1. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills and customer/patient service, problem solving, time management and organizational skill, be a team player, excellent communication skills including telephone etiquette.
3. Ability to recognize life-threatening findings and notify physicians.
4. Ability to calculate test results.
5. Uses good body mechanics.
6. Maintain patient confidentiality.
7. Serves as patient advocate.
8. Good organizational skills basic computer data entry

Required License/Certification:

BLS certification from the American Heart Association

CCI or ARDMS required within one (1) year of hire or transfer date.
