Job summary

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, VA, is seeking a part-time Echocardiographer for the day shift. The role involves performing 2D, Doppler, TEE, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.

You will work closely with cardiologists to assess heart structures and function, and you will complete technologist reports in the structured report application.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program per IAC guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree with 2 years relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Certification/licensure as required or preferred per hospital policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms.
• Collaborate with cardiologists to evaluate heart structures, functions and blood flow.
• Complete the technologist reports in the structured report application.
