Job summary

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, VA, is seeking a part-time Echocardiographer for a day shift. You will perform 2D echocardiograms, Doppler studies, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.

Specialists work with cardiologists to assess heart structures and function; graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent) per IAC Guidelines is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
• Anomalies identified via echocardiography to be evaluated with cardiologists.

Responsibilities

• Perform two dimensional echocardiograms and Doppler studies.
• Conduct transesophageal and pharmacological stress echocardiograms as needed.
• Document technologist report in the structured report application.
• Collaborate with cardiology for diagnostic evaluation of heart disease.

Overview:

Sentara is hiring an Echocardiographer for the Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, Virginia.

This is a Part-Time, Day shift opportunity with great benefits.

An Echocardiographer performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluateheart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.

Specializes in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart. These professionals work closely with cardiologists to evaluate heart structures, functions, and blood flow, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions.

Completes the technologist report in the structured report application. Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
