Job summary

Dignity Health - Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley, CA, is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures and capture high-quality cardiac images.

You will operate ultrasound equipment daily, ensure patient comfort, and apply your knowledge of cardiac anatomy and advanced imaging to support diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions for both adults and pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology for echocardiographic use.
• Proficient technical skills in ultrasound imaging and data capture.
• Effective communication to deliver diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

• Performs technically correct echocardiograms per protocol.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy for diagnostic purposes.
• Maintains quality control procedures and records for echocardiographic equipment.
• Performs cardiac diagnostic procedures (EKGs, EEGs, Holter, telemetry) for inpatients and outpatients.
• Recognizes abnormal rhythms and cardiac findings on echo and notifies RN/MD.
• Checks resuscitation equipment daily and ensures availability.

*Job Summary and Responsibilities*

As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.

Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.

To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

• Performs technically correct echocardiograms that are of high resolution and contrast quality per protocol
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology for echocardiographic diagnostic purposes.
• Maintains quality control procedures and records on echocardiographic equipment.
• Performs cardiac diagnostic cardiac procedures (EKGs, EEGs, holter monitoring/scanning, telephonic arrhythmia monitoring) per protocol for both inpatients and outpatients; adult and pediatric.
• Recognizes both abnormal EKG rhythms and cardiac abnormalities on echo that are potentially life threatening notifying appropriate person, RN or MD.
• Checks emergency resuscitation/crash cart equipment daily and assures availability for procedures.

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI or
• Basic Life Support - CPR

• Other Graduate of a program for cardiovascular technology
• One year acute care ultrasound experience

$58.82 - $71.53 /hour
