Job summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and related studies to support cardiovascular diagnosis and patient care. The role involves operating ultrasound equipment, capturing cardiac images, and ensuring patient comfort while adhering to clinical guidelines.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Echo/Vascular Lab experience, certification/registry in echocardiography, and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• 1 year related experience in an Echo/Vascular Laboratory.
• Successfully passed the Echocardiography Registry Exam.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer/Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures.
• Calculate, measure, and document values on tests for review by physicians.
• Perform carotid arterial and venous studies of upper/lower extremities and venous studies for suspected peripheral vascular disease per ICAVL guidelines.
• Explain procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety.
• Review test results with interpreting physician.
• Communicate changes in patient's clinical conditions to physicians and staff during echocardiogram.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.

Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.

To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

• Produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of heart.

• Calculate, measure, and document appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.

• Perform diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines.

• Explain procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient.

• Review test results with interpreting physician.

• Communicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram.

Pay Range

$34.85 - $51.84 /hour
