Job summary

CHI St. Vincent is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and related cardiovascular ultrasound studies.

You will operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality cardiac images and data while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Candidates should have strong cardiac anatomy knowledge, technical proficiency, and excellent communication to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years college with emphasis in medical sciences and mathematics.
  • Verifiable completion of 18 contact hours in-service/continuing education in clinical Echocardiography.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) within 12 months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 12 months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo within 12 months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo within 12 months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo within 12 months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 12 months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo within 12 months and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR within 30 Days

Responsibilities

  • Performs all diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound testing including M-Mode, two dimensional, color flow mapping, cardiac Doppler, echo stress testing, trans-esophageal echo, stress testing, EKG, and Holter application.
  • Prepares patient for ultrasound procedures.
  • Recognizes and promptly reports significant findings to physicians.
  • Maintains echo equipment and accurate log of echo procedures performed

Job description

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. PRN rate $38.50/flat. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.

To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

  • Performs all diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound testing including M-Mode, two dimensional, color flow mapping, cardiac Doppler, echo stress testing, trans-esophageal echo, stress testing, EKG, and Holter application.
  • Prepares patient for ultrasound procedures
  • Recognizes and promptly reports significant findings to physicians.
  • Maintains echo equipment
  • Maintains accurate log of echo procedures performed

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
Preferred
  • Minimum of three years clinical experience in cardiovascular ultrasound
