Job summary

Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute seeks a skilled sonographer to perform diagnostic cardiology and vascular imaging across multiple modalities. You will work under supervision with cardiologists, ensuring high-quality imaging, accurate documentation, and adherence to standards.

The role requires ARDMS/CCI credentials, at least 1 year of experience, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment at multiple Central Florida locations.

Qualifications

• Requires ARDMS/CCI guidelines compliance.
• Maintains BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiology or vascular ultrasound.
• Competent in ECHO/vascular exams including 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiology and vascular ultrasound imaging under supervision.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
• Assist cardiologists with noninvasive and invasive exams.
• Document patient data and ensure accurate coding of procedures.
• Supervise student sonographers and orient new staff.
• Adhere to safety, quality control, and regulatory standards.
