Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a qualified Echocardiographer to join our Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab team. The role involves performing Echo and Stress Echo tests, transesophageal echocardiograms, and Doppler studies, with duties spanning EP/Cath Lab, OR, ICU, and bedside patient care.

The position requires at least 1 year of echocardiography experience, certification in adult echocardiography within 12 months of hire, and BLS/ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent (required).
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) per IAC Guidelines (required).
• Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) required within 12 months of hire.
• BLS (Required within 90 days).
• ACLS (Required within 90 days).
• Echocardiographer experience (1 year minimum required).

Responsibilities

• Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities.
• Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.
• Work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and bedside.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating tests as needed.
