CHI St. Vincent is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures and capture high-quality cardiac images. You will operate ultrasound equipment daily, ensure patient comfort, and provide clear information to patients and families about procedures.
Successful candidates will have strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, proficient imaging skills, and excellent communication to support accurate diagnoses and quality patient care in a busy clinical setting.
As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.
Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.
To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.
Performs Cardiovascular Ultrasound Procedures
Provides patient/ family with information regarding procedure.
Correctly prepares patient for ultrasound procedures
Evaluates equipment for safety, troubleshoots problems and promptly reports malfunctions. Maintains echo equipment
Maintains accurate log of echo procedures performed.
Correctly charges for procedures performed.
Minimum of two years college with emphasis in medical sciences and mathematics. and Five years experience as Echocardiographic technologist, upon hire and
Verifiable completion of 18 contact hours of in-service/continuing education in clinical Echocardiography, upon hire
Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 - months or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, within 12 - months or
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 12 - months or
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months or
Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
