Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound and deliver high-quality imaging for physician interpretation. You will work with cardiology and nursing staff to ensure accurate studies and patient education.

The role requires RDCS or RCS certification, BLS, and strong knowledge of heart anatomy and ultrasound principles. Join our Heart & Vascular team at Trident Hospital in Charleston.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent cardiovascular ultrasound training.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound imaging principles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) according to established protocols.
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
  • Evaluate image quality and adjust to optimize studies.
  • Document examination findings and complete required records.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide education on testing.
  • Recognize and communicate critical findings to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure QA standards are met.
  • Support accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate commitment to patient safety and exceptional service.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Echo Technologist performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. This role requires strong technical skills, clinical judgment, and exceptional patient care abilities while working collaboratively with cardiologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.

What you will do:
  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) according to established protocols

Position Requirements:
