Job summary

HCA Florida Heart Institute invites an Echo Technician to join our team. Full-time, Monday through Friday, days; no nights, weekends or holidays. You will prepare patients for exams, monitor progress, record results and perform timely procedures for physician evaluation.

You will also ensure QC, infection control, and maintain clean, organized work areas. Required education: certificate from an approved echocardiology program; 1–3 years of experience; ARDMS or CCI certification/licensure; BLS.

• 1-3 Years’ Experience Is Required.
• ARDMS or CCI certification/license required.
• International (CCI) certification/license required.
• BLS Required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for exams, monitors progress and records results.
• Performs timely procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
• Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed. Adhere to and practices appropriate infection control policies and procedures.
• Performs QA on all sonar equipment.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement, Adheres to established rules, ethical standards, regulations and laws of the speech-hearing profession.

What Qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION

Requires a certificate from an approved echocardiology program.

EXPERIENCE

1-3 Years’ Experience Is Required

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE

• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification/license required.
• International (CCI) certification/license required.
• BLS Required.
