The Echocardiology Technician provides patient care and performs specialized procedures related to cardiac testing for diagnosing heart disease and disorders. They operate echocardiology equipment and conduct echo cardiac examinations to monitor the movement, sound, and activity of the heart. The technician annotates patient records, maintains supplies, and liaises with biomedical engineering for equipment maintenance and repair.
Preferred clinical experience in EP/Pacemaker examinations. BLS certification required; RCS or RCDS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program is required.
This role may involve contact with human blood and potentially infectious materials. Universal precautions, personal protective equipment, and infection control policies must be followed.
