Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a part-time Echo Tech to work 8:00am–4:30pm, three days a week at the Mid-Valley Peckville location. The role requires prior echocardiographic imaging experience and active CPR/BLS certification, under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include acquiring and interpreting cardiac ultrasound images, ensuring accurate documentation, and contributing to patient care through clear communication and quality reporting. ARDMS/ARRT/CCI certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior echocardiographic imaging experience required.
• Must earn CPR/BLS certification.
• ARDMS/ARRT/CCI certification demonstrated or in process.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with documentation/reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically relevant ultrasound information to assist physician diagnosis and treatment.
• Operate echocardiography equipment and document results clearly and accurately.

Job description

Part-Time. (3 days a week)8:00am - 4:30pm. Mid-Valley location in Peckville. The Echo Tech who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serves as a medical imaging professional providing clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Prior experience in echocardiographic imaging and techniques required.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Must earn CPR/ BLScertification required. Sonography education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be performed. Demonstrated competence in the specialty area(s) to be performed, including sonographer certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medial Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning (e.g., continuing medical education in the specialty area(s) performed, higher education, research, staff training, etc.). Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation.
