Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot seeks a part-time Echo Tech for the Mid-Valley Peckville area. Work 8:00am-4:30pm, three days a week, to support physicians with echocardiographic imaging and clinically relevant information for diagnosis and treatment.

Required: prior echocardiography experience, CPR/BLS certification, and sonography training. ARDMS/ARRT/CCI certifications or active pursuit are advantageous. Strong communication and computer/documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in echocardiographic imaging.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Sonography education, training, and experience.
• Certification by ARDMS/ARRT and/or CCI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate as Echo Tech under physician supervision to provide imaging data and information for diagnosis.
• Demonstrate proficiency with documentation software and reporting.

Job description

Part-Time. (3 days a week)8:00am - 4:30pm. Mid-Valley location in Peckville. The Echo Tech who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serves as a medical imaging professional providing clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Prior experience in echocardiographic imaging and techniques required.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Must earn CPR/ BLScertification required. Sonography education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be performed. Demonstrated competence in the specialty area(s) to be performed, including sonographer certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medial Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning (e.g., continuing medical education in the specialty area(s) performed, higher education, research, staff training, etc.). Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation.
