Job summary

WMH Alzheimer’s Support Group is seeking a part-time Echo Tech for the Mid-Valley location in Peckville. The Echo Tech will operate under the supervising physician to perform cardiac ultrasound exams and provide clinically relevant information to assist the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Applicants must have prior echocardiographic imaging experience, CPR/BLS certification, and formal sonography education.

• Prior experience in echocardiographic imaging and techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software for documentation and report generation.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography exams and provide clinically relevant information to assist diagnosis and treatment.
• Work under delegated authority of supervising physician.
• Ensure quality imaging and accurate documentation of results.

Job description

Part-Time. (3 days a week)8:00am - 4:30pm. Mid-Valley location in Peckville. The Echo Tech who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serves as a medical imaging professional providing clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Prior experience in echocardiographic imaging and techniques required.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Must earn CPR/ BLScertification required. Sonography education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be performed. Demonstrated competence in the specialty area(s) to be performed, including sonographer certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medial Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning (e.g., continuing medical education in the specialty area(s) performed, higher education, research, staff training, etc.). Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation.
