The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a day shift Echo Tech Sonographer for PRN coverage. The role involves performing echocardiographic imaging to support patient care and conducting related cardiac testing procedures as needed.

Applicants should have a 2-year degree in a related field or a degree from an accredited echocardiography program and BLS certification. Prior echocardiography experience is preferred.

Formación

• 2-year degree in related field required; may substitute degree with graduation from an accredited Echocardiography program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• One-year experience in echocardiography preferred or required per hospital policy.

Responsabilidades

• Perform echocardiographic diagnostic imaging to support quality patient care.
• Perform cardiac testing procedures such as Exercise Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring Scanning, and Pacemaker checks.
• Communicate effectively with patients about the procedure to obtain information and to offer reassurance.

• Perform echocardiographic diagnostic imaging to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
