Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL is seeking a Per Diem Echocardiography Technologist to join the Cardiopulmonary Department. You will perform ultrasound studies of cardiac structures, obtain measurements, and assist the physician with complex echocardiography procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, ARDMS/CCI or equivalent credentials, and current BCLS. Per diem days 7a-3:30p with call responsibilities, hospital cardiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
• Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
• Registered Echocardiographer preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI credential required
• Able to perform stress testing preferred.

• Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
• Promotes smooth operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through clerical/document handling responsibilities.
• Manages interpersonal relationships and information gathering within the department.

Department: OFIL CardiologyShift: Per Diem, Days: 7a-3:30p;Call typically 1 per week. Call 3:30 PM - 6:30 AMFacility: Olympia Fields Hospital Location: 3800 203rd St Olympia Fields, IL 60461

Responsibilities

Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow. Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures. Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.

Qualifications

• 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2. Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• 3. EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• 4. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
• 5. Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
• 6 Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
• 7. Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.

Pay Transparency

Olympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $46.69. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education/n, credentials and licensure.
