Job summary

MACC is seeking a qualified echocardiography technologist to perform 2-D, M‑mode, and Doppler studies, obtain diagnostic-quality echocardiograms, and prepare preliminary interpretations. The role requires ARDMS/CCI credentials, a 946-hour registry in cardiac ultrasound, and prior echo experience.

You will maintain lab records, assist with emergency studies, and ensure protocol compliance while delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Registry with 946 hours of advanced cardiac ultrasound training.
• Prior echocardiography experience required.

Job description

1. Obtains pertinent clinical history and data, positions patient and selects ultrasonic technique to acquire echocardiogram of diagnostic quality.
2. Performs 2-D, M-mode, Pulse/Continuous Wave Color Doppler.
3. Performs routine measurements and necessary hemodynamic calculations relating to pathology.
4. Capable of writing preliminary interpretation.
5. Performs emergency studies as required.
6. Maintains echo lab records, including data log book and patient charges.
7. Participates in the activities required to maintain echocardiography changes and updates.
8. Fulfills the educational requirements of the clinic and all accreditation and licensing agencies governing the delivery of care. This includes, but is not limited to, current CPR certification and attendance at mandatory office in-services.
9. Ensures equipment and room have been cleaned and room restocked after each patient and at the end of the day.
10. Gathers and assesses information relative to the patient’s age-specific needs.
11. Provides care needed to achieve the desired clinical outcomes.
12. Understand and modifies therapeutic approach in response to the patient’s non-verbak reactions to therapy, psychosocial needs, physical limitations, and any other age or illness specific issues.
13. Follows Standard Echo Protocol of the Lab.

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Registry required, including 946 hours (6 months) of advanced training in Cardiac Ultrasound.
• Previous experience in Echocardiography required.
