Job summary

Optum is hiring an Echo Cardiovascular Sonographer in Sumter, SC. The role performs professional level assessments using ultrasound and related diagnostic tech, recording results and impressions to guide patient care. You will work with Cardiologists and Radiologists to obtain high-quality images and ensure accurate reporting.

The position involves interpreting cardiac and peripheral vascular anatomy with limited supervision and requires strong patient communication and adherence to HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Ultrasonography Program.
• Registered in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound (RCS, RDCS, RVT, RVS, CCI, ARMDS).

Responsibilities

• Perform professional level assessments and non-invasive studies using ultrasound; record results and impressions.
• Direct course of patient care based on exam findings.
• Maintain equipment and ensure quality images; obtain images requested by Cardiologist.
• Communicate with patients and families professionally.
• Coordinate with Radiologists and physicians in image interpretation and reporting.
