Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Accredited diagnostic medical sonography or cardiovascular technology program preferred.
• ARDMS/CCI registry; must obtain registry within 12 months of hire; BLS certification required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms, carotid duplex studies, venous/arterial studies, and EKGs per protocol.
• Reviews patient history and explains exam expectations.
• Operates imaging equipment and optimizes image quality.
• Documents findings and completes exams; communicates results as needed.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and alerts staff as required.
• Assists with safety checks, infection control, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Maintains patient comfort, dignity, and privacy during procedures.
• Participates in call rotation and weekend/holiday schedules.
• Ensures timely documentation and exam logs.
• Supports quality improvement and maintains imaging competency.
