Job summary

K.A. Recruiting, Inc. is recruiting an Echo Cardiac Sonographer for a top hospital in the Baltimore, Maryland area. The role involves performing echocardiographic studies to support cardiovascular diagnosis and patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography or related field, and RDCS/RCS certification; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are offered to qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field.
• RDCS/RCS or equivalent Echo Cardiac Sonographer certification.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Evaluate and document the quality of images and measurements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and position patients for echocardiographic studies, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns.
• Operate and maintain echocardiographic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any issues.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in developing patient care plans.
• Maintain detailed records of echocardiographic procedures, patient information, and diagnostic results.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Stay current with advancements in echocardiography and cardiology to provide the highest standard of care.
