Shakopee School District's Pearson Early Learning Center is seeking a part-time Long Term Substitute ECFE Teacher (0.07 FTE) to join a dedicated team. The position involves teaching an evening class twice during the contract period and supporting families through parent education and child development activities.

The ideal candidate will hold a MN teaching license in PFE or ECE, demonstrate strong facilitation and communication skills, and work collaboratively with staff to address diverse

• Valid MN teaching license in Parent and Family Education or Early Childhood Education.
• 2–3 years teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent group facilitation skills and knowledge of parent education.

Description:

Pearson Early Learning Center is searching for a part-time(0.07 FTE) Long Term Substitute (LTS) Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) Teacher to join our amazing team of educators to address the diversity of needs and concerns parents may have. This LTS assignment will teach a Monday evening class from November 16, 2026 through January 11, 2027 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, and from Janaury 25, 2027 through May 10,2027 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

Job Summary:
Provide instructionin your content area in accordance with each student's ability, create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth, establish effective working relationships with students, work collaboratively with other staff members.

Qualifications:

• Valid MN teaching licensein Parent and Family Education or Early Childhood Education.
• Motivated, self-directed, flexibleand able to work independently and in a team setting.
• Excellent group facilitation skills and knowledge of parent education and child development is crucial.
• Applicant should demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to use instructional strategies and technology.
• Prefer 2-3 yearsprior teaching experience.

Pay & Benefits Information:

• This is not a benefit-eligible position
• Daily rate ranges from $20.23 to $28.26 depending on education level
