Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking an ECFE Early Childhood Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports birth to five learners and their families, integrating parent education with culturally sustaining instruction.

This position requires a Minnesota Birth to Five license and a commitment to anti-racist teaching. The role is .50 FTE across 42 weeks, reporting to the Early Childhood Family Education unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in urban, multicultural settings preferred.
• Bilingual ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons integrating Parent Education and culturally sustaining curriculum.
• Create safe, inclusive learning environments and use developmentally appropriate practices.
• Teach using play-based strategies to foster thinking and problem solving.
• Travel between locations and participate in after-hours work as needed.
• Collaborate with families to support learning and decision making.
• Assess student development and communicate progress to families.
