Job summary

YMCA of the Inland Northwest is seeking an ECEAP Assistant Teacher to support a nurturing classroom environment at South Hill. You will help deliver inclusive early learning experiences for preschool children, build positive relationships with families, and collaborate with lead teachers to implement developmentally appropriate activities.

This full-time role requires an early childhood education certificate within 5 years, TB test, immunizations, and DCYF MERIT and background check compliance.

Qualifications

• ECE certificate within 5 years of hire.
• Experience working with children in developmentally diverse settings.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate positive relationships with children, families and coworkers.
• Supervise and engage children in purposeful programming in classrooms.
• Follow DCYF licensing, ECEAP, and YMCA safety standards.
• Assist in planning and implementing educational curricula based on child development.
