Scoot Education is seeking Lead, Associate, or Assistant Teachers to support early childhood education across Los Angeles schools. We offer competitive pay and 1:1 consultant support to match you with suitable assignments.

This hourly, non-exempt role provides opportunities for growth and benefits as a Scoot employee. Ideal candidates have 12+ credits in Early Childhood Education, 6+ months classroom experience, and certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 12 or more passing credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development courses. Infant or toddler preferred.
• Available 3–5 days a week Monday to Friday.
• Can commit to 8 hours shifts from 7 AM–5:30 PM.

Responsabilidades

• Provide careful supervision of children’s activities as assigned by Site/Program Director.
• Maintain positive behavior standards with non-punitive discipline.
• Cooperate with staff to create an efficient learning environment.
• Nurture child self-esteem, trust, and growing autonomy.
• Plan curriculum activities that enrich academic skills and language abilities.
• Interact positively with parents and relay concerns to leadership.
• Identify and report problems to Site/Program Director.
• Assist with meal counts, attendance, and sign-in/out sheets.
• Call parents as directed by teachers or directors.
• Potty train as needed.
• Follow CACFP rules for meals and snacks.
• Possibly substitute as CACFP cook as needed.
