This hourly, non-exempt role offers weekly paychecks via direct deposit and is paired with background check reimbursements and a path to 401k enrollment after eligibility. Scoot places candidates in public, charter, private, and independent schools with flexible assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 or more passing credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development courses. Infant or toddler preferred.
• Available 3 - 5 Days a week from Monday to Friday.
• Can commit to 8 hours shifts, between 7 AM - 5:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide careful and effective supervision of children's activities as assigned by the Site Director and Program Director.
• Maintain appropriate standards and rules for children's behavior; non-punitive discipline.
• Cooperate with other staff to create a harmonious and efficient environment.
• Nurture development of each child's self-esteem, trust, and autonomy.
• Plan and supervise age-appropriate activities that enrich academic skills and cultural experiences.
• Interact positively with parents and refer questions to the Site Director or Program Director.
• Identify problems and crises related to children and report to the Site/Program Director.
• Assist with meal counts, attendance, and sign-in/out sheets.
• Call parents as directed by the Teacher or Site Director.
• Potty train as needed.
• Follow CACFP rules for meals and snacks.
