Job summary

Kido in Chicago is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Leader to guide daily operations and uphold high program quality. You will lead educators, coach staff, ensure licensing compliance, and partner with school leadership to maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds Director Qualified per DCFS 407, a Bachelor’s in ECE (or related field), and 5+ years in licensed childcare.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising early childhood educators
• Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
• Knowledgeable about childcare licensing and regulatory compliance
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication with teachers, families, and leadership

Responsibilities

• Support the overall quality and consistency of the preschool and early childhood program.
• Partner with school leadership to implement Kido’s educational philosophy, curriculum, policies, and standards.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide teachers with constructive feedback and coaching.
• Support onboarding and orientation for new teachers and staff.
• Identify professional development and training needs across the teaching team.
• Help facilitate staff training, workshops, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
