Job summary

Kïdo International Preschool Chicago is seeking an experienced Lead Early Childhood Teacher who also serves as Backup Director Designee. This full‑time role focuses on classroom leadership, curriculum delivery, and direct work with children at our River North and West Loop campuses.

Applicants must hold an Illinois DCFS Director Qualification, be at least 19 years old, and bring licensed preschool teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold Illinois DCFS Director Qualification per Part 407 regulations.
• Age requirement: must be at least 19 years old.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED with requisite college credits/degrees for the DCFS pathway.
• Experience: proven classroom teaching in a licensed preschool/childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum implementation using Kïdo’s globally inspired program.
• Lead a preschool or toddler classroom with responsive care.
• Engage families through daily communication and updates.
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to maintain a nurturing environment.
