Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools invites applications for an ECE Instructional Assistant at Rangeland Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. Start time 9:40, Salary schedule 1A Grade 8, 187 days/7 hours, with an hourly wage range of $24.52–$26.96.

Position is classroom instructional/non-certified with an optional $1.00 per hour ECE stipend. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and Kentucky Paraeducator requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Passing score on the Kentucky Paraeducator Exam (KPA) or 48 college semester hours.
• Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
• Physical ability to assist with physical needs of students such as positioning, toileting, and lifting.
• Willingness to attend district ECE in-service for professional growth.
• If your highest education is High School or GED you must take and pass the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment Exam (free, 3 chances).

Responsibilities

• Recognizes that all responsibilities are basically supportive.
• Assists in implementing each student's individual education plan.
• Helps establish and maintain a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment.
• Displays willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.

Education

High School Diploma or GED
