Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools seeks an ECE Instructional Assistant at Layne Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. Start time 7:30. Salary between $24.52 and $26.96 per hour with a $1.00 per hour stipend.

187 days, 7 hours per day, non-certified classroom support for students with disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting in implementing each student’s education plan and maintaining a safe, positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Passing score on KPA (Kentucky Paraeducator Exam) or 48 college semester hours.
• Willingness to work with students with disabilities.
• Physical ability to assist with physical needs of students.

• Assists in implementing each student's individual education plan.
• Helps establish and maintain a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment.
• Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
