Job summary

Easterseals Southern California is seeking a dedicated professional to coach Head Start and Early Head Start teaching staff in Escondido, improving teacher-child interactions and school readiness outcomes.

You will conduct observations, model best practices, provide feedback, and analyze data to guide professional development and program improvement. Strong collaboration with center leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Must hold and maintain a Child Development Permit (Master Teacher or higher).
• 3–6 infant/toddler units from an accredited college with a “B” grade or better.
• CPR/First Aid for infant/toddler; Food handler’s certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and mentoring for teachers and staff to improve interactions and outcomes.
• Conduct observations, model practices, give feedback and analyze child outcomes data.
• Develop and update procedures for curriculum, assessment, and cultural responsiveness.
• Design staff trainings to support continuous improvement in school readiness.
• Collaborate with ECE Manager and Center Directors on goals and evaluation.
