Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires GED or high school diploma within 6 months of hire.
• CDA or equivalent in early childhood education within two years of hire with emphasis on pre-school age children.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a play-based learning environment.
• Reference check required when submitting application.

Responsibilities

• Assist one or more early childhood teachers in education, care, supervision and instruction of preschoolers.
• Support classrooms, play areas, and transportation at Head Start to meet school readiness goals.
• Maintain and prepare classroom environments and materials; use basic clerical processes.
