Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an ECAD Library & PLM Engineer in Foster City, CA to own the Altium component library end to end, including symbols, footprints, models, and metadata.

You will administer the Altium-to-3DEXPERIENCE integration, ensuring electrical part masters and BOM structures stay synchronized between ECAD and PLM, while coordinating with mechanical teams for interoperability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• 6+ years of ECAD library management, PLM administration, or electrical design data management.
• Hands-on expertise with Altium Designer and Altium 365.
• Experience administering a PLM system, preferably Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA.
• Knowledge of CATIA and MCAD-ECAD data exchange.

Responsibilities

• Own the Altium component library end to end: symbols, footprints, models, metadata.

• Manage creation and release process of electrical parts with design intake, data validation, and numbering.

What's the Job?

• Own the Altium component library end to end: schematic symbols, PCB footprints, models, and parametric metadata.
• Administer and evolve the Altium-to-3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) integration, ensuring electrical part masters, revisions, and BOM structures stay synchronized between ECAD and PLM.
• Manage the electrical part creation and release process: intake requests from design engineers, validate manufacturer data, assign internal part numbers, and drive parts through review to release.
• Configure and maintain 3DX (ENOVIA) workflows, change management, classification schemas, and attribute structures supporting electrical and electromechanical content.
• Partner with mechanical engineering on CATIA/3DX interoperability for PCB 3D models, connector geometry, harness routing data, and enclosure fit checks.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in ECAD library management, PLM administration, or electrical design data management in a hardware product environment.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with Altium Designer, including Altium 365, vaults, managed components, and library management workflows.
• Production experience administering a PLM system - Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA strongly preferred - including workflows, change management, and configuration.
• Working knowledge of CATIA and MCAD-ECAD collaborative design data exchange (IDX/IDF, STEP), plus strong electronics component fundamentals (packages, datasheet interpretation, tolerance and derating parameters, and manufacturer part numbering).
