Pitts School Road Elementary in Concord, North Carolina seeks a Temporary EC Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers by working with individual students or small groups under the supervision of the Principal.

The role involves assisting with IEP goals, implementing NCSCOS, and performing non-academic duties such as lunch, recess, and hallway supervision, while maintaining patient, respectful interactions with students.

Qualificações

• The requirements to be considered highly qualified as aTeacherAssistant, ONE of the requirements below must be met:
• A four-year degree from an accredited college/university
• A two-year degree from an accredited college or university
• 48 semester credits from an accredited college or university (quarter hours earned can be converted to semester hours by multiplying the number of credits by 0.67)
• Passing WorkKeys assessment scores and completion of an orientation by the Exceptional Children’s department.

Responsabilidades

• Teaches and implements IEP goals and NCSCOS lessons and extensions.
• Performs non-academic activities such as lunch, encore, recess, etc.
• Outside classroom duties including car, bus, and hallway duties.
• Provides self-help and medical support as needed.
• Assists with the management of instruction and behavior.
• Assists with provision of individualized instruction and instructional monitoring.
• Assists teacher with preparation for instruction.
• Helps assure that students are properly supervised at all times.
• Manages behavior through approved methods, as established by teacher and IEP team.
