Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking an EC Teacher for the K2 Developmental Classroom in Charlotte, NC. The role requires implementing IEPs, delivering group and individual instruction, and developing lesson plans aligned to curriculum standards.

The position is full-time for 10 months, reporting to the Principal, with work on district premises. A valid NC teaching license and collaboration with educators are essential to support EC students’ growth and success.

Qualifications

• Experience with Easy IEP and knowledge of EC laws, rules, and regulations preferred.
• Ability to work positively and collaboratively with classroom and support staff.
• Strong writing, speaking and diplomacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with administration and other educators to create the most complete educational environment for EC students.
• Administer and interpret individual educational testing and use data to track progress toward IEP goals.
• Develop, administer, and grade tests and assignments to assess student progress.
• Design instruction and modify curriculum to meet IEP goals and behavioral/emotional needs.
