Responsibilities

• Collaborates with students, parents, colleagues for leadership and positive relationships while focusing on high expectations and continuous improvement for student learning.
• Designs instruction (e.g. lesson plans; individualized instruction; diverse learning styles/needs) to engage all students in objectives.
• Develops and guides learning with students toward continuous improvement aligned with standards.
• Evaluates student and class performance and adjusts instruction based on assessment data.
• Implements current best practice instruction and resources to improve student learning.
• Maintains documentation and required reports for compliance with statutes and regulations.
• Manages classroom structure and procedures to create a safe, orderly learning environment.
• Models professional behavior and effective communication in alignment with district goals.
• Oversees assistant teachers and volunteers to support classroom operations.
• Participates in meetings for information sharing and planning.
• Responds to emergencies to ensure safety and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
