Responsibilities

• Follow all rules, policies, and procedures, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to school issues.

• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
• Employ instructional methods and materials appropriate to objectives.
• Assess student progress and provide reports as required.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or parents regularly.
• Assist administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and classroom behavior.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher assistants and evaluate their performance.
• Participate in professional development and support the school vision.
• Attend staff meetings, serve on committees, and perform noninstructional duties as required.
