Job summary

Ford Motor Company’s Underbody Systems Engineering team seeks an eBeam System Supervisor to lead electrified system development. You’ll work with cross-functional groups across propulsion, EV systems, NVH and programs in a global, fast-paced environment.

Required BS in engineering with 5+ years in transmission/eDrive, 3+ years CAD, MBSE and scripting skills. Hybrid onsite four days a week; salary range $115,500–$218,100; visa not available.

In this position Ford Motor Company’s Underbody Systems Engineering (UnSE) team within the Product Development organization needs an eBeam System Supervisor to lead electrified system engineering development.

This position will provide the qualified candidate with an opportunity to work in a global, fast-paced, fun team environment with exposure to several cross-functional areas including Electrified Propulsion Engineering, Electric Vehicle systems, NVH, Vehicle Operations, Tier 1/2 Suppliers and Program Management.

You’ll have...

BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or a related field required.

• 5+ years of transmission or eDrive unit or Powertrain development experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in Microsoft tools.
• 3+ years of CAD experience.

• Masters in product development or other Engineering degrees preferred.
• Tools: Proficiency in MBSE tools, CAD/CAE simulation environments, and data analysis platforms.
• Versed in UML and SysML modeling languages preferred.
• Basic software writing in Python or Groovy preferred.
• Model Based System Engineering development utilizing MagicDraw/3DX toolkit preferred.
• Experienced in analyzing a descriptive model to assist in complex decision making preferred.
• Prior experience in Systems design and processes.
• Proven delivery of balanced Quality/Cost/Weight/Function/Timing attributes for components or subsystems.
• Clear communication skills and highly motivated to exceed expectations in a constantly changing product landscape.
• Formal Systems Engineering knowledge to solve complex problems.
• Systems Engineering: Expertise in systems engineering principles, including P-diagrams, DFMEA, and functional safety.
• Strong foundation in FMA processes and documentation.
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, electric motors, battery systems, and traditional ICE components.
• Knowledge of Driveline controls / communication system.
• PPAP experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
