Job summary

Bloomington Public Schools is seeking a Program Management Support Paraprofessional for the ABLE Program at Kennedy High School. The paraprofessional will support students with behavioral and academic needs in an EBD setting, following daily schedules and behavior plans.

Position involves 6.2 hours/day, 180 days/year, from approximately 7:55 am to 2:37 pm. Requirements include a High School Diploma, 60 credits or Para Pro Exam, and PCA Certification (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 60 credits post-secondary education or passing Para Pro Exam is required.
• PCA Certification (or ability to obtain) is required.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with licensed and other staff to assist students with academic, behavioral/social/emotional, instruction, and daily living skills.
• Assist in implementation of assigned tasks including instruction and assisting students academically.
• Monitor students' independence and implementation of individual behavior management programs.
• Assist with daily living activities.
• Communicate students' progress with case managers.
