Qualifications
Must meet all requirements for the position designated by the ISBE.
2 years of school-based experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Assist in carrying out lessons to students as arranged by the teacher.
Follow each student’s behavioral plan.
Maintain a functional, attractive, orderly environment for learning.
Assist the teacher with clerical tasks and routine paperwork.
Monitor student behaviors during lunch and transitions.
Ability to work with students with behavior or learning problems
Ability to work under pressure
Education
Paraprofessional Certificate or 60 hours of college credit
