Job summary

Transforming Age is seeking a part-time Eastmont Wait Staff member in Lincoln, NE. The role runs 4:30pm–7:30pm (or 4:55pm–7:30pm) and pays $15.50 per hour. You will engage with residents, read menus, and take orders while ensuring service excellence in a supportive environment.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly in English, enjoy working with seniors, and demonstrate strong teamwork and organizational skills. Training, confidentiality, and adherence to safety policies are required.

Responsibilities

• Serves food and beverages to residents in the dining room with a pleasant demeanor.
• Clean, bus tables, reset tables and complete daily cleaning tasks.
• Comply with federal and state health regulations and current food code requirements.
• Ensure foods are maintained at proper temperatures.
• May assist training new staff or cross-training current staff; report issues to the Director.
• Participate in mandatory in-services and department meetings; follow Eastmont policies and handbook.
• Promote Transforming Age mission, vision and values in all responsibilities; support Culture of Excellence.
• Other duties as assigned.

We have an amazing opportunity for a Eastmont - Wait Staff (Part-time) to join our team!

This role pays $15.50 per hour. The shift for this role is 4:30pm to 7:30pm or 4:55 pm to 7:30 pm

What you need to succeed:

• Must have good communication skills and be able to read, write, take menu orders, and speak English well enough to communicate effectively with residents, family members and peers.


• Desire to work with senior adults and their families.


• Good organizational skills.


• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and want to work in a team environment.


• Must be able to relate to other people by giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; and (c) respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.


• Maintains confidentiality of resident information.


• Be honest, dependable and reliable.


• Be able to pass a Food Prep Safe Course provided by Eastmont. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, grasp and talk.


• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs

Essential functions & responsibilities

• Serves food and beverages with a pleasant demeanor, restaurant style to residents in the dining room.


• Accomplishes other duties to include, but not limited to: clean, bus tables, reset tables and complete required assigned daily cleaning tasks.


• Complies with all federal and state health regulations and current food code requirements.


• Ensures foods are maintained at proper temperatures.


• May assist with training new staff and/or cross training current staff. Communicates any problems or concerns with the Director.


• Participates in personal and professional growth by attending mandatory in-services, scheduled department meetings and any other required training on or off campus.


• Understands and adheres to all policies and procedures at Eastmont as set forth in departmental policies and the Employee Handbook.


• Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals.


• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience
