Placements24 is seeking an experienced Network Deployment Manager to oversee and manage network build projects with a focus on East London and the Eastern Cape. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage vendors, and ensure projects meet technical specs and business objectives.

The role requires 8+ years in telecom deployment, knowledge of Agile or Waterfall, and strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in telecommunications network deployment projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of network deployment projects, from planning and initiation through execution and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against them.
• Lead and coordinate site acquisition, civil works, equipment installation, and commissioning teams.
• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Ensure all deployments adhere to network design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee testing and acceptance of newly deployed network elements and services.
• Report project status, progress, and key performance indicators to senior management.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to ensure successful network rollouts.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement in deployment methodologies.
