Placements24 is assisting a major South African telecoms client in East London to hire a strategic Telecoms Network Planner. You will develop long-term network strategies, analyze performance, forecast demand, and collaborate with RF, core networks, and operations.

Qualifications

• : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• : Minimum 5 years in telecommunications network planning, design, or engineering.
• : Strong understanding of mobile network architectures (LTE, 5G), transport networks, and IP networking.

Responsabilités

• : Develop long-term network strategies and roadmaps for capacity, coverage, and technology evolution.
• : Analyze current network performance, utilization, and traffic trends to identify future requirements.
• : Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for network expansion and upgrade projects.
• : Collaborate with RF engineering, core network teams, and operations to ensure planning aligns with execution.
• : Forecast future demand for telecommunications services and plan network resources accordingly.
