Job summary

Qualifications

• Five (5) years in heavy highway construction with knowledge of project scope and objectives.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret project specifications.
• Strong scheduling and planning knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; problem solving and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for the safety of the crews under his/her direction.
• Understands and communicates safety policies to ensure compliance and training needs.
• Oversees and coordinates the activities of field employees.
• Assesses competency and capability of employees and evaluates crew capabilities.
• Addresses issues among crew members and provides effective resolutions.
• Follows project plans and schedules to meet production goals.
• Identifies schedule deficiencies and communicates them to appropriate persons.
• Translates work requirements into prioritized crew work plans.
• Reviews and adjusts workforce activities and task schedules to meet production schedules.
• Identifies and reports scheduling conflicts with other teams and subcontractors.
• Prepares reports as required by Prince and approves material requisitions.
• Maintains employee time reporting.
