Job summary

Prince in Augusta, GA seeks a seasoned Highway Construction Field Supervisor to lead crews on our projects. You will ensure safety, coordinate field activities, read plans, and translate requirements into actionable work plans while monitoring production schedules.

In this role you will manage schedules, resolve conflicts, report progress, and ensure compliance with safety policies. Strong communication, planning, and time‑management skills are essential; valid Georgia driving license required.

Qualifications

• Must have five (5) years in heavy highway construction and knowledge of project scope including grade, slope, drainage.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications for the project.
• Strong scheduling and planning knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to apply problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Must possess a clean Georgia driver’s license.

• Prepare reports as required by Prince and approve material requisitions.

JOB DESCRIPTION - This position will be based out of Augusta, GA.

• Responsible and accountable for the safety of the crews under his/her direction


• Understands and communicates P RINCE safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all areas of safety, while identifying the needs for crew safety training


• Oversees and coordinates the activities of field employees


• Assesses competency and capability of employees on the project, and evaluates the capabilities of the crew members


• Recognizes and addresses issue/problems that may arise among crew members and provides effective resolutions


• Accountable for following project plans and schedules, ensuring that crews perform activities to meet production goals


• Identifies needs and deficiencies in the schedule and communicates these to the appropriate persons


• Translates general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for each crew


• Reviews and adjusts specific workforce activities and task schedules to meet established production schedules


• Identifies, verifies and reports any scheduling conflicts with other crews and subcontractors to the appropriate persons


• Accountable for the preparation of reports as required by PRINCE


• Approving material requisitions

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess five (5) years in heavy highway construction with knowledge of project construction scope and objectives to include, but not limited to grade, slope, reading and understanding plans, and drainage


• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications for the project


• Must possess a strong knowledge of scheduling and planning

  • All work is performed outdoors and around heavy highway traffic areas
