Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction seeks a Foreman to supervise dirt crews across all phases of construction, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality. The role emphasizes in-field leadership, coordination with equipment operators, and adherence to project specs.

The candidate should bring extensive dirt, grading, and heavy equipment experience, plus a valid driver's license and the ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising / crew leadership experience
• 8 years dirt and grading work (subgrade treatment, fine grading)
• 8 year overall operating large heavy equipment experience
• 8 years of main roadway / highway construction experience
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Flexible availability to include overtime and weekends
• Valid Driver's license
• Know how to shoot grade with level and some knowledge of GPS
• Good eye to hand coordination and depth perception
• Experience finding grading with various pieces of equipment

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate grading crew activities, including hands-on equipment operation
• Interpret blueprints, layout work sites, and shoot grades using levels and GPS
• Inspect work for compliance with specs and safety standards
• Optimize production methods and crew efficiency
• Estimate materials, monitor schedules, and adjust workflows to meet deadlines
• Maintain strong knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations
