Lead Heavy Civil Projects That Shape South Florida

At Central Civil Construction, we build the infrastructure that keeps South Florida moving — from major roadway improvements and site developments to complex DOT and federal heavy civil projects.

We are seeking an experienced Earthwork Foreman to lead field operations on challenging and high‑profile construction projects throughout South Florida. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for managing crews, subcontractors, equipment, schedules, safety, and quality from initial earthwork through final project completion.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead day‑to‑day earthwork and site construction operations on heavy civil projects
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise field activities from grading and utilities through paving and final completion
  • Manage labor, equipment, materials, trucking, and subcontractors to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure all work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and environmental regulations

  • Monitor field productivity and proactively address jobsite challenges and delays
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Inspectors, and subcontractors to maintain smooth project execution
  • Lead subcontractor coordination meetings focused on scheduling, safety, quality, and production
  • Review plans, specifications, schedules, and contracts to ensure accurate field execution
  • Oversee equipment utilization and ensure proper handling of company assets
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, labor tracking, and production documentation
  • Identify and communicate field issues including:
  • Utility conflicts
  • Soil conditions
  • Material shortages
  • Equipment breakdowns
  • Schedule impacts
  • Safety or environmental concerns
  • Ensure all work is executed in accordance with company standards, OSHA requirements, DOT specifications, and contract documents
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
  • Minimum 2 years managing field crews on highway, roadway, bridge, or sitework projects
  • Strong background in:
  • Earthwork
  • MOT operations
  • Grading and paving
  • Experience with heavy highway and bridge construction projects
Preferred Experience
  • MSE walls
  • Piling and sheeting
  • White paving/concrete paving experience
  • Utility coordination and site development
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and crew management abilities
  • Advanced understanding of scheduling, production tracking, and cost control
  • Ability to maintain high safety and quality standards in fast‑paced field environments
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Valid driver’s license required
